AMD Cuts Prices. Cuts them like the wind

Speaking from a purely price/performance ratio, at the moment you're still better off with Intel. The E6400 is ~98% of the speed (it's in a statistical dead heat with the E6600, performance-wise) and 70% of the price. Or thereabouts.

That x2/6000 would be very appealing if I couldn't get an E4300 to do 3.3GHz for about half the price. Methinks there will be yet more cuts.

It wouldn't delete the drivers, but it wouldn't help much, either. You could use a program like Driver Collector to snag the files you need from a working Windows install. If that works. And it often doesn't. You really just need to know the generic names of your video, Wireless, modem, NIC...

Well, 80 hot dog BUNS. I don't think I want or need to eat 80 hot dogs. But I don't exactly know what else I am going to do with them. I am open to suggestions. I bought some extra fancy things to try: Apple-chicken sausages filled with gouda cheese and the like.

I have a very large number of hot dog buns sitting in my office. Where they came from is shrouded in mystery, but there are a lot of them. And they aren't cheapie store-brand hot dog buns - they're an upscale brand. And I have eight loaves of them. I know that I cannot possibly eat 80 hot dogs...

I'm thinking that a $1700 Sharp 37" 1080p LCD would really be a better deal. The 30" computer displays use a native resolution that is really not all that comfortable and do not work well with non-computer devices.
