The programs that come with the recovery console are the only programs that work in the recovery console. TweakUI can move "My Documents" but not the whole of "Documents and Settings"

    Move \documents and settings

Not as I can tell. The main problem is that to use mount points, the underlying directory needs to be empty. Docs and settings is NEVER empty - at least "All Users" and "Default Users" will always be there. So, I tried these instructions and found that they kind of work, but some of the stuff...

I'm pretty much catch-as-catch-can on Adblock filters, actually. Using a hosts file and also only allowing images from originating servers seems to get most things I consider annoying.

PM me. I've found VPC useless for installing Linux. I'm not saying it can't be done just that I couldn't make a goddamned thing work properly. VMware works much better for, oh, everything, but in this case there are three things that I am going to say. 1. You don't need to be messing with...

Most of that is my class. The learning to cope with just the command line is the main thrust of the class though, and where I'd suggest you spend your time. Don't even install X. Or just interact with Linux through Putty. That will give you reason enough to learn the command line and how to...

    Building a Storage Server Thread

I found this. The card supports RAID 0, 1 and 10, but I'm just going to configure the PC to do software RAID. I think I'd be happy with 4x 250s, personally. The "cheapest 8 port" cards would up the price on my proposed server by 50%.

I have no idea what would make it THAT slow. I've had to delete lock files in the past, but this clearly isn't that problem. It's happening on multiple clients, but did you try a transfer from a client in "Safe Mode with Networking" to rule out something running on both the client machines...

    Back aches

Just remember: At least you live in a country that HAS a socialized health care system. In the US you'd probably just get a $10,000 bill and your insurance company - not a doctor - would decide whether or not it was necessary and therefore whether or not to pay that bill.

    DVD Burner Recommendations?

My main objection to CD Creator - aside from the massively level of bloat, is that the OEM version can't make every type of disc. The OEM version for example can't do a video-DVD. Hit froogle and I'll bet you can find a decent copy of Nero or Nero express.

    HL2 Level Load Time

I seem to recall load times for HL2 levels in the 45 - 60 range as well. They seemed unduly long, given the PC I used to play HL2 (3GB RAM, 64/3500, 9800XT).
