I had an XP2400 for long while years, and before that an XP1700 and XP2100.

So what are they up to now, Socket C or something?

Socket A CPUs had 462 pins, the next generation has 754 pins, and with this next generation they've dropped the letter nomenclature. So, now it's just Socket 754.

...But 754 didn't last as long as 462. Say hello to 939!
