Got it. Stuck it in an external enclosure. Connected it via eSATA. Both AnyDVD and ImgBurn are showing the same ~10MB/sec speed for Angels and Demons. Not the speed I was looking for

Mine is definitely faster on Blu-Rays though I've only ripped one disc so far after patching it and it got up to 7.4x and was climbing before my server decided it needed to slow down the data transfer for some reason. I haven't tried ripping a DVD in it yet.I patched the firmware on my drive too but didn't see a difference on bluray, but in DVD the thing flys now.
