Where are the benchmarks? If none, where is the point?

Ah, I see. It's one of those new invisible graphs. Nice design. Great colors. It's clear, so clear that NO ONE CAN EVEN SEE IT!

Benchmark for what? Avatator set a benchmark for the smooth, computer animated aliens, yet was spoiled by weak characters and an unsatisfying plot.

I think he meant to say "Reference Picture Quality Blu-Ray's" or something similar, but I could be wrong.

No, you are not wrong. What looks really spectacular in Bluray is the issue, for whatever reason...

The digital CLG source (most of the film) has inherently low noise and does not require conversion. Presumably it compresses better as well.

Extreme National Geo on my birthday swell, 1998, 70 foot, or bigger, in Hawaii, and, incredible skiing.
