With 4GB thumb drives now super cheap, I'm looking at building all my software tools into one.

Goals of this project:

1.Bootable
Ubuntu
WinXP
Anything else useful
2.Recovery tools
Antivirus
Data Recovery
Anything else useful
3. Hardware Testing
Memtest
Hard Drive Error Checking
Anything else useful

Of course, it needs to gracefully deal with lots if different hardware. I think setting the size limit at 4GB shouldn't be that big a problem, but if it is, bigger can be gotten.

Thanks for the tip. I have the "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool", and have been experimenting with different system files. I'd like to support FAT32 if possible, so the whole thing can be one partition. I've been playing with BartPE, and it is the only app to date that I can get to completely crash my Vista system. It also seems that a number of the add-on modules for BartPE have been outdated; the downloads they link to are no longer there or don't function as it expects.
