I'm not even sure it clarifies anything for me. Does this mean that, for example, Newegg is lying when it states that a given OEM Seagate hard disk drive comes with a 5 year warranty?

For some reason when I click on the the link in the first post Firefox crashes. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Not me. (I'm currently using Firefox 1.0 on Win 98SE.)

Try clearing your browser's cache first.

I'm running Windows 2000 Pro.

Still crashes after cache has been cleared. I think it might have to do with flashblock.

I'm using Firefox 0.9.3 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.8) without any problems. Oh, and it works fine with Mozilla 1.7.2 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803 (same Gecko engine)). Opera 7.51 build 3798 seems okay with the link too.

Somewhere in time.
Since we're talking about Firefix crashes: The preview release used to and the current 1.0 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041109 Firefox/1.0 (MOOX M2)) will crash consistently for me. It took some sleuthing to figure it out. Full cache. I've specified cache to live on another partition in a temp folder. No matter that that partition has oodles of disk space, once FF fills the cache, it will crash for me. I wrote a small batch file that clears the cache on boot-up (which happens every morning), so we'll see what happens now. I'm on W2kPro SP4.
