Apparently, only the private browsing from Safari prevents this p.o.s. from installing itself into your computer. I wonder what makes Safari's private browsing better than Firefox's or Google's private browsing. Something good coming from Apple is always a surprise to me.

I am omnipresent
It's meant to be a technology demonstration at the moment, but as I understand it the source is available, so we'll undoubtedly have more in the not too distant future.

Speaking of obnoxious, did everyone know there's such a thing as a Flash cookie? And that they're also a total pain to get rid of?

I use BetterPrivacy on Firefox to keep from being bothered with Flash cookies.

I don't have an extension for deleting them on Chrome yet though. I think Chrome might have built-in management of Flash cookies, since it comes with Flash. May have read that somewhere sometime.

HTML 5 is opening up a whole new can of worms with its local storage implementations. The wonders of the modern age - eternal mucking about with computer minutaie just to live a sane & reasonably private life...
