Crossfire? Anyone tried it?

I was wondering if anyone had tried crossfire, and, if it would work on this motherboard?

The answer is NO.

I thought Crossfire only worked on motherboards with ATI chipsets.
Why would nVidia want to support their competitor's system on their hardware in the first place?

Wasn't there a recent driver that did away with that requirement?

IIRC, some crossfire setups on the high end have their own interconnect, and therefore only require a board with 2 PCI-E x16 slots.

On the low end, they require the motherboard to supply the interconnect.

ATI's crossfire X 850 XT appears to connect through a cable between the two cards. Guess maybe I should contact ATI, and see if David's right.
