I've always had good experiences with hypermicro.com

Also recommended is allstarshop.com, however it's been a long time since I ordered a HDD from them and they don't specialize in scsi.

I have totally sworn off newegg for any hdd purchase. Way too many DOA drives.

Thanks! I couldn't remember hypermicro.com, but, I had very
good service, products, and prices from them. I'll be looking them up.

As for solid state, it's WAY off, as far as my price range right now.

The 300 gig 10K's 10.7 are nearly as fast as 15k's, these days. Also, if I can find one, the 10.7's in 15k look like they would make excellent boot drives, at 146 or so gigs, for a gaming machine.

Might be kind of neat to have two boots, one in XP for games, and the other 2003 server...

Haven't tried that with the SCA box. Wonder if it would have a fit if the boot drive was swapped???

I'll be looking at all the others as well. Thanks all for the links.

S esq.

Thinking of school. Currently subbing long term in a math class. Anyone have a projector they would donate? I use it for most of my math stuff. Scan in, and project. We have 5 for the school, and the school is about 3500 students.
