Apparently, there's still a little life left in OS/2 after all. eComstation is releasing a major revision to its product in the next couple weeks. I'm not sure what the point is, other than supporting newer hardware for existing OS/2 installs, but I am impressed that they're still making an effort to keep their OS alive.

I'm sort of shocked to see that a new license is $250 though. It's weird to think of somebody besides Microsoft charging for a desktop OS.

A little life? OS/2 has been running ATM machines and cash registers for years. Certainly, I'd trust it more than some of the Win2k systems that I've seen out there (guess how I know that they run Windows).

These systems working with money don't tend to change quickly. So, somebody figured out how to make money helping them.

Apparently OS/2 is 25 years old today. Methinks there was 40oz. poured out on the curb somewhere in Ballarat.

Or a 1 litre. Aussies still pour out things for their homies, right?
