Folder Size (Most useful utility for managing HD space I've seen in a long time)

I can't believe I only just came across Folder Size today.

Now you can finally see where all your HD space is going! :king:

I might have been a tad too fast to praise this as the best thing since sliced bread. If you allow it to scan removable disks (configurable) you can't properly eject them without stopping the service.

I had played with FolderSizes before, but it costs money and I'm cheap. I went looking for alternatives when I came across Folder Size and WinDirStat.

WinDirStat is a bit too bling for my tastes.
I've been using Treesize since it came out and it still works so why change.

The list of supported OSes stops with XP. Does it work with Win 7?

Yes. The developer stopped working on the free 1.x version years ago.
It's a very good thing to keep on your thumb drive.

Directory Report is another useful program for tracking your disk usage
Looks just like the MS-Explorer but always shows the folder size
