I'm hoping it is humor played "straight". As such it is pretty funny.

I'm not so sure about that. You have to be quite the trooper to zap yourself with 25kV repeatedly. And, he seems genuinely surprised every time he gets zapped. If it's acting he should be up for an academy award or something.

If you check out his website, ElectroBoom (or just other YouTube videos), you will realize that he is indeed a great "straight man". Check out the "How To Create a Shortcut in Windows" tutorial for sly confirmation, although he states as much in the About notes.

Even though I thought it was a bit obvious at the time, I find I'm remembering one of his other videos even more than the ESD one. Very cool.

Oh, that is ridiculous. It's been 35+ years since I did the blinking LED circuits thing, but IIRC the power was supplied by 4 AA cells or similar. This guy is obviously being a goof. :monkey:
