I'd like to wish everyone (including myself) a better year than 2005. May we all experience more positives in our lives.

Cheers!

Amen!

Happy New Year, everybody (though it's still 2005 in the U.S.). May the coming years be filled with great happiness, robust health and prosperity for you and your loved ones.

10-4 Merc, looking forward to a better one coming up. My hope is to keep a beter perspective on what makes me happy and not to lose focus on that. This year seemed to be full of senseless projects and silly objectives.

Best wishes to all, see you next year.

I'll third that. I wandered around my part of the city for a few hours this evening and I've just returned home. There were so many people all dressed up with somewhere to go that now I'm contemplating whether or not to go in to work. At least there I can find cable TV and free soda. Of course, those are two things that will probably kill me. But at least 2005 is going to die first.

Hah, hah!

Fortunately, 2005 is over. Unfortunately, 2006 will probably be even worse. I still don't know how I'm going to make it through financially. Unfortunate also that past mistakes can't be thrown away with the obsolete calendar.

At least I'm in good shape and I should stay healthy up to this Spring. After that, either I'll rise again or it's going to be the point of no return. No in-between, like most things in my life.

Nope, not a great year. However, like most things in life it could have been worse.

Happy New Year

C'mon, guys, don't sound like a bunch of losers. I've had a shitty 6 years (it's true) and I still haven't curled up and died. Chin up, hopes up, and go at it. Sometimes when things seem hopeless, it's better to dumb down a bit and go with the "ours is not to qurestion why, ours is but to do and die" attitude. At least it won't paralyze you.

You're right, mubs.

And so, in that spirit ... I'm going streaking!

Who's with me?!

Include me out. I feel naked when I step out of the house in shorts. In the distant past, I used to wear a tie to work everyday and my co-workers and subs would tease me that I probably went to bed in one.

Ya'll think Merc is shy and introverted?? You ain't seen nothin yet. This way of remote communication affords me enough anonymity that I can gab without fear.

I think I drank too much last night. Went a little overboard on the open bar.

I think 2006 should be a good year for me. Just got a job offer last week and I should be starting mid January. Hopefully, it will be better than the last job.

Sometimes outlook is all about your attitude. Keep your heads up.

good morning.

I am very late. still

May I wish you all a Happy New Year from here. Philippines. I think you all have an idea what we are going through in our country. Not as bad as Iraq (or maybe a lot of other places) but, I still think we are looking forward and expecting a better year than last.

I will look back at 2005 as a year of learning and growth, with lots of memories. There were a few rough patches, but overall, the good definitely outweighed the bad. I don't quite feel fullfilled and contented yet, but what I am left with going into 2006 is hope. I am looking forward to 2006.

May 2006 bring us all good fortune. Happy New Year everyone!
