Apparently, Kyle Bennett has taken a job with Intel. The Hardocp forums will still be up, but the testing and news sections will shut down.

Wow, a blast from the past. I had no idea they still existed.

I was still browsing HardOCP every couple of days as part of my typical tech news consumption. Hopefully the sale of the forums works out ok. I know there is a ton of history in there.

Why should I care what /. thinks?
You shouldn't, but some of the replies do give additional info on the move...

Like, H, I would give a quick glance at the headlines 2-3x a week... Pity all the good review sites are slowly disappearing...

I remember the days of ArsTechnica giving in depth reviews of the Netburst based P4's or the G4 (actually explaining the architecture, eg pipeline depth, L1/L2 size and clock latency on access), or the days of when [H] would give reviews including detailed analysis of frame rates throughout the entire playing experience (and not just quoting max FPS)... Or SR explaining the details of the results of the drives under test, and not just displaying some (misleading) graphs...

As some might, get off my lawn.... :p
