Hmm, what with the rumored Apple ultra thin MacBook to be announced at MWSF in a month, with Toshiba's 4 generations away 10nm (potential, not produced any time soon, lol) process NAND flash. Seems really small NAND flash might be the way of software distribution in the future on USB3.0 thumbnail drives.

I'm also thinking that while internal drives with be used in the main on laptops, more people in business environment uses will likely for security reasons, never use an internal drive after say 2010?, and instead boot up with a larger capacity USB3.0 SSD drive, removing such drive for easy storage away from the laptop/desktop so that anyone stealing the computer ends up with no useful/valuable info.
