I have a fileserver running XP Pro with a JBOD array of dynamic discs. I want to remove the OS and install Server 2003 and import the array (and all it's data). Does anyone see a problem with this? I know backing up would be a great idea, but frankly I don't have the spare drives to backup ~2TB of information.

It should be do able as jbod. You will have to enter the drive manager and import the foreign disks to access the data. And yes, backing up is a good thing to do.

It sounds like you need a friendly neigbourhood computer store owner who'll loan you a couple of TB of hard drives for the weekend...

We have to make a poll about how much time this one will last ;-)

;) Well it's already longer than any since Oregon, and it's coming up quickly on that. The last time I lived with a girl for this long was in 2001-2003; and before that 1997-2000. I think this one is good for at least that long.
