Laptop Recommendations?

I expect it's not the case, but can you replace the HDD or SSD that comes with a Lenovo Thinkpad with one of your own and not void the warranty? Same thing for Dell Lattitude? I'd like to recommend a Thnikpad T530 for the president of the company, but I'd rather put a SSD like a Samsung 840 Pro or Corsair Neutron GTX instead of paying for the one Lenovo sells with their laptop. I don't even know what kind of SSD it is. That and the fact that they sell a 128GB for the price I can get a very good 240GB model.

I normally buy the smallest drive option available, swap out the drive and set it aside in case I need to send one back. I've never had an issue getting warranty repairs from Lenovo when they were needed.
