My pop picked up one of these:

http://www.buy.com/prod/lenovo-g560...pentium-p6200-2-13ghz-4gb-ddr3/218755166.html

From Fry's Electronics (Mesa, AZ) for $288 + tax.

Basically going to be a web and facebook games only laptop.

Seems crazy decent. Or is it ????

- Intel p6200 2.13 GHz.
- 15.6" - 1366x768 screen.
- 4 GB RAM.
- 320 GB HD.
- DVD-R/W drive.
- Win 7 Home Premium x64
- 6 cell battery
- 802.11n
- Usual ports USB, USB/ESATA-Combo, card reader, VGA, sound, etc.

Decent? Or is this Lenono just as bad as those cheap-ass Toshiba, HP, ACER laptops?

I'd sort an Ideapad into the same category as a Dell Inspiron or something Asus branded. It's a big step up from Acer or HP consumer garbage but at the same time it's still a consumer notebook that only cost $300.

Though Coug is right about the hard drive situation.
