[Rant]So, I come home from work today after staying until 8pm on a Friday night to have my wife want to watch a DVD using my HTPC. No problem, I turn it on, put the disc in and pick up the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and type in the password, and nothing happens.

After an hour plus of fighting with the Logitech bluetooth keyboard and mouse I used another USB bluetooth adapter and determine that the keyboard and mouse are working fine, but the problem is with the Logitech bluetooth receiver. Oddly, it worked perfectly yesterday, but today... Nothing.

I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them and they can't find the Logitech Bluetooth device. I tried it on another PC and got the same results. The only redeeming thing is it's still under warranty, so I'll be calling them on Monday to complain.[/Rant]

Well, at least I feel better now.

I know this sounds silly, but did you press the reset button?
Which reset button are you talking about?

I pressed the connect buttons on the keyboard and mouse, and on the logitech bluetooth adapter/charging cradle.

Apparently, you didn't get the memo.

Logitech + Bluetooth = bad

Why did you go with bluetooth rather than Logitech's reliable RF technology?

I needed more distance than their RF technology could offer.

Their standard wireless has issues reaching 14' to the couch in my house. I found it was very particular on the placement of the reciever and keyboard at that distance.

I can't say that I've ever had a problem at either of those distances.

In a quick test that I just did, my keyboard transmitted at about seven feet through me, a wall, and my solid oak desk. I guess mileage varies.
