"Limited Replacement Only Return Policy

Return for refund within: non-refundable
Return for replacement within: 30 days

Products that state "This item is covered by Newegg.com's Replacement Only Return Policy", or items labeled as “Non-refundable” (or similar labeling) must be returned to Newegg within 30 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a replacement of the same or equivalent item, if the original is no longer available. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by Newegg, and not the mere issuance of an RMA."

That kind of ends my interest. It looks like you are gambling, and sending it back once or twice is going to eat up any value caused by buying the "refurb".

Looks like I'll stay with my Panasonics.

I would choose a Lenovo thinkpad over a panasonic, but not this reconditioned unit. The reconditioned/refurb state has nothing to do with Lenovo; it's a used laptop. it seems like newegg bought a lot of returned laptops likely off a lease and are trying to resell them for a profit.

I keep looking for something with a modern processor, bus, ram, and ethernet connection, read cable.
I think I bought the CF-51 in about 2000, picked up another one 4 years ago with a dual core processor,
gigabyte ethernet, a big deal for what I use it for, higher resolution screen, and not much else for about 130 bucks off ebay. Bought a Kingspan SSD, got one that worked, and it's been chugging along fine ever since.

That model seems to still be selling in the 100-150 dollar range. Guess they made a lot of them, and they are out there.

I wouldn't mind finding a Panasonic, newer, with the same type of production.

I keep hoping Costco will have a Lenovo Thinkpad, but so far, no joy.
