Storage? I am Storage!
I would like to set a computer as a host to two virtual operating systems.
The host system does not need any network connection for any reason. But, I cannot disable the network cards as that would prevent the virtual systems from using them.
The 'real' network cards will be plugged into a network that uses DHCP. I can go into the network cards properties (host OS = XP) and uncheck 'Use DHCP...' but then it wants a hard address. That's not a problem except the software that monitors the system will see the new computer and send up red flags and alarms that there is a non-compliant computer on the network. That would mean installing patches, updates, service pack, and anti-virus software. And then maintaining all the above. :crap:
Does anyone know of a way to make the host OS invisable but still usable?
Thanks,
Bozo :joker:
