4GB DDR2 is still steep, but not as dear as the 4GB DDR3 modules I'm looking for
I would love to get the max supported RAM in this board (24GB).
One wonders why they are so expensive. If I were a RAM company and was losing money on every stick of DDR2, I would be looking to increase margins and 4GB sticks seem to be perfect solution untill there is a glut there too.
Really, considering x64 and virtualization with multi-core processors I think it will take quite a bit to produce too many. Is it really that much harder to manufacture 4GB modules over 2GB modules? What's the limitation, that is preventing it?
