[NEWS] - New Ad-Aware Version

Lavasoft released Ad-Aware SE, yesterday, which is supposed to be faster, and have more protection against spyware trying to stop it. I haven't had a chance to try it on infected computers yet.

Very nice, and much faster. It scanned my 150,000+ "objects" in about half the time.

Ad-Aware has never complained about that on any of my systems. Neither has SpyBot.

It complains on all the computers that have this in my experience.

Ad-Aware SE is out

The Second Edition of Ad-Aware spyware and adware remove tool is now available. My first test using it has detected numerous "infected" files on a computer previously scanned with Ad-Aware 6.181.

I just got an e-mail from them letting me know that the "Pro" version of SE is out as well. It looks like those of us who bought thew Pro version the the upgrade free? Sweet.

one of my co-workers noticed a false positive tht made ad-aware catch a file related to moszilla and remove it.. rendering your mozilla dead(requiring reinstall). looks like they've fixed it already though.
