This one isn't wired or fired up yet, but the first one ("Home1" in my sig) never goes more than 2C above ambient, even with the most absurd synthetic benchmarks going. I did put two additional 80mm fans inside running at fairly high speed; they are not audible from outside the chassis.

It looks like a rack with a bunch of tubes and wires all over the place. That's nothing like any coffin I've ever been in.

The original looked like a coffin. Version 3 not so much.

Is that rack still in your living room?
Yup, still in the living room. I have a place in the garage for it, but cable length restrictions are preventing that. Now that the computers are near silent, heat-neutral, and one-sided, I'm considering a new desk design that incorporates the computers.

Not really a lot, but have you never checked them?
Most coffins are not designed for comfort, but appearance.
The nice ones are crazy expensive.
