Their testbed is clearly too noisy to be testing the SPL of the HSF's when almost all of them are below the noise floor of the system.

The fins are simply too close together to work in a low pressure cooling system (like most computers have). That is why it takes two fans to force the air through. Amazing they tried to make this sound like a good thing...

The test was run with a single fan and double fans. The single fan did a decent job also.

In all of my quiet cases, the CPU doesn't get it's own fan. Depending on heat load, it either gets air from a downward-facing 120mm power supply fan or a rear 120mm case fan. In my current rig, the closest fan for it to get airflow from is about 8" away.
