I'll be the first to say so what? Last time I checked having principles and sticking to them is not a crime.
Dear Reader,
It has come to our attention that Western Digital's Caviar Green HDDs suffer from a critical design flaw caused by an aggressive power-saving feature. Western Digital has developed a new technology called Intellipark (aka Idle 3 mode) and it is designed to reduce power consumption, in part by positioning the HDD's heads in a park position and turning off unnecessary electronics after 8 seconds of inactivity.
According to an in-house investigation and user reports', some software and operating systems are incompatible with the Intellipark feature causing endless head parking movement as the HDD continuously goes in/out of idle mode. This abnormal behavior creates stress on the HDD and that could lead to the following issues:
• Loud clunking/clicking/buzzing noises every few seconds.
• Artificially increases the number of load-unload cycles in S.M.A.R.T.
• Possibly shortens life-time of the HDD.
• Possibly reduces performance of the HDD.

They have no idea where the file actually is, and can't seem to grasp the idea that what they were looking at wasn't actually the file! Grrr....
Then don't come here between November and April.
It's snowing outside. I've installed my summer tires on my car two weeks ago. Let's hope the snow doesn't stick.
I'm guessing you mean high availability or redundancy rather than backup.

EC2 is supposed to provide redundancy.
Given the number of late April snowstorms etc I've usually got mine on till about mid May to be sure.
My biggest gripe at the moment, is not in relation to ASP.NET, but the assignment which nearly forbids using background code in either VB or C# to do things. We are to use only the built-in controls as is.
They seem quite a bit quieter on concrete than the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S I had on the car before. I've used Toyo Proxes T1-S (summer tires), Toyo Proxes 4 (all seasons) in 245/40/18. I've used Michelin Arctic Alpin (snow tires), Continental ContiExtreme Contact, and Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S in 225/55/16, and Bridgestone Potenza RE92 (world's worst tire) in 225/50/17.Those are the ones I'm considering for my car. My main concern with them is road noise. How do they compare to what you had before?
Well, the tread pattern is drastically different between the ContiExtreme Contact and the DWS. I would think that the less aggressive tread pattern of the DWS should make them quieter. The Continental ContiExtreme Contact was the OEM for my car, and it is way noisier than the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S that I'm running at the moment. That is an old tire, and I was hoping that something better would have come along by now.
Does this belong in the Lenovo thread?I doubt it would have both restore disks. Anyway, that is not an upgrade.
