I'm seeking a USB-powered fan for travel use. It is hot in the evenings and there will be no electricity in August. I have one that looks like a small table fan, but it is too bulky. Are there any ~120 mm fans that run on 5V and push a decent amount of air at ~2.5W? :shaking:

I have several of these which have a retractable cord, variable speed, and a nice stand.

I also have some of these, which are 120mm, but not silent, and are awkward without a stand.

Would you recommend the former for upper body cooling?

Very much so. It is an 80mm fan, so air volume isn't exceptional at quieter speeds, but it will get the job done and is very easy to use/transport.

Perhaps the whole PSU is excessive, but why is the Thermaltake fan ridiculous?

I obtained one of those fans and it works fine. The speed control is nice, but it would be better with an off position. Are there any drivers for the fan? I did not see any online.
