Is there such a thing as a non-sucktastic Windows web hosting company?

I guess that would depend on what you want it to do. I use a buddy's godaddy hosting service at www.downdoggy.com.

I want to find something that does everything Dreamhost does, but supports fucking ASP.NET that we HAVE HAVE HAVE to have because the people I'm working with don't want to use anything else.

And there is NOTHING like dreamhost in Windows hosting.

I'd assume that it's due to the massive potential security issues hosting on Windows. All the services I've seen require a layer of UI between you and the system. The only exception is when you rent a whole server.

More like massive $$$ compared to free Linux or BSD.

A commercial-grade hardware firewall and a professional firewall setup can do wonders for Windows hosting -- along with log monitoring and analysis.
