How to deal with wind chill?

Judging from the map, I get cold air from Mt. Diablo, and it blows down into this valley. Tends to be 10 degrees colder up there, when the station is working, and it blows towards the ocean, to a another station, Leary. I'm inbetween the two. DD posted the two days it was near freezing here...

Funny, but I just got done redoing the lighting in the house. Prior the mini-flors just didn't do it for me. Expensive, and not that great for light. The month before last, my energy bill was nearly 200 dollars, this from a baseline of between 40-60 dollars. So, I've done the following: All the...

They do seem to catch everything. It's surprising how much little stuff ends up on your keyboard without you knowing about it, and, if not for the condom, they would go into the keyboard. It's starting to loosen up a bit. At the start it was not working as smoothly as I would have liked. Now...

SSDs - State of the Product?

If I had it to do over, I'd probably go with a single X-25M 120 gig as the boot drive, rather then raiding the two of them. That said, no problems so far, other then having to rebuild once. I'm pretty sure that at 250 MB/sec, with absurd access times, other components are limiting speed, not...

    Android phones: Tips, tricks?

I get static, echo on the other end, dropped words. Speaker phone doesn't appear to work properly all the time on the Wifi network, either. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Works better on TMobile's 4G then it does on my Wifi. I should go down to Peet's and try it, and see if it works there.

I use Wifi calling at home. It's free on Tmobile, but, you get somewhat what you pay for. Dropped words, noise, etc. It should be better. I have a warranty on the phone for a year, so I figure they can take a shot at fixing it. Might be faulty hardware. I suspect you are correct, but, it's...

Covers/condoms came in. They are worth 10.00. They are made with thin plastic, and actually have sticky on the edges. Peel off, and it holds the condom in place. Nice protection, and very little sound deadening. That seems to come from the bottom of the keyboard. Piece of neoprene might help that.
