We purchased an Epson WF-3520 about 6mths ago, and very happy with it. (The WF-3620 replaced this model recently). We also have a simple BW laser for bulk printing, and use the Epson for scan/fax and occassional colour printing for the kids when required. Uses common easy to get ink cartridges...

I'm still shooting with a 6MP camera... And while there have been some instances I would have liked more MP, for 99% of the stuff I shoot with it, 6MP is good enough, considering we rarely get prints above 5"x7".

Other than what the OS provides, no... You may need to check both the master volume and application volume controls. (I can't remember if Win7 has per application volume controls or not). Also the sound driver may have some tweaks available... (but unlikely). If handy with a soldering iron...

I can only assume MS did that to force people onto their hosted solutions instead of relying on local installations... I know SBS was very very big here in Australia. Even the last company I worked for, installed SBS instead of regular server editions, as it was the cheapest way to get MSSQL...

With a drive so old., I'm 99% certain it won't support UDMA which pretty much all USB/IDE convertors require... Unfortunately you'll need an old IDE controller that supports all PIO modes to get it to work. (FYI, Drive ID is done by PIO, but data transfer is done using UDMA in modern IDE...

Something to try for sh*t's and giggles... That 512K *.img file will most likely be an actual floppy disk image. If you open it up in a hex editor (ghex), look at offset 510. (0x1fe). It should be 0x55 0xAA (or 55 AA). And somewhere in that you should see stuff like "MSDOS" and "NO NAME" and...

@sed, according to Kingston, the C55-B5298/B5299 only has 1 DIMM slot... (You can use their memory finder tool to look up via laptop model number and it'll tell you how many DIMM slots there are).

I wouldn't be worried about the no longer manufactured part, but the fact that many current SSDs use flash of smaller feature size which results in flash that has less PE cycles overall. Would a modern SSD that's using TLC based flash with a lowly 1,000 PE cycle count fair as well as the models...
