I think neither as they are both being replaced next year?
Of those two, I think 939 has the longevity.
Don't trust me though, read anandtech's article here.
My Dell lattitude D600 has been pretty solid, even runs F@H.
Doesn't always hibernate correctly through the OS though. But does if you just shut the lid. Only one scare with the HD about a year ago when I got a hdd not found error. But reseating it fixed that.
As long as we are on watches...
I got my wife a nice citizen watch. It has eco-drive so it never needs batteries. She liked it so much that when she lost the first one, I had to buy her a replacement.
I used to wear a watch all the time, even had a band of non-tanned skin from it. Then one day I took it off. And haven't worn one since. Maybe 8 years.
The one I had was a casio twincept. It had an analog face but push a button and the digital data bank appeared for phone numbers and such.
I agree there were some contradictions in the explanation of why they chose the components. Like saying building and enterprise class system. Then at the ram explanation saying they opted for only 2GB even though enterprise systems have more.
As far as this build went I think he just didn't...
Yeah witchblade was on TNT for only a little while.
I think there was at least two seasons.
I watched the first and one a few of the second.
I tivo quite a few shows. Can't remember them all.
The show I miss is called 'Dead Like Me'.
It was on showtime but they stopped making them and then I...
Picked up a copy of ghost 2003 by buying Norton System Works 2003 Professional from pctekonline.com for $14 incl. shipping. Used that to do a partition image, deleted the partition, formatted, and then restored that image. Sector count is back to zero.
I didn't read any of the thread really but thought I might relate a true story.
My wife and I were married in a catholic church by a priest who is a friend of the family. Actually his sister is Lara's grandmother's best friend. This has a special Italian-American name that I can't remember...
I think of it this way. Like whether to own a house or rent.
I'd be a renter if I had no intention of staying there for a long time.
If I wanted to settle down, I'd buy.
I'll rent (lease) this car since I have no intention of keeping it.
I'll keep my 1994 honda accord though, as I have sort of...
Well the good news is I got the replacement and it is in place.
The freeware utility I used: http://www.partition-saving.com/
worked great. Back without a problem.... except the bad sector count came over with the disk image.
So how do you reset the bad sector count?
I tried chkdsk /F /R but...
But I thought it would do a disk to image dump. (raw sector copy, correct?)
But it complained about NTFS this or that. Maybe it was just checking the filesystem anyway regardless?
I'll probably pick up a current copy of ghost just to be safe but I'll let you all know how this freebie...
Well my weekend was composed of
Trying to ghost failing drive, finding that ghost consistently is failing?
Well it is version 5.1c of the program but still?
Finding a free alternative: http://www.partition-saving.com/
Kicking off overnight, coming back next morning realizing it is waiting for me...
We've decided to delay the leasing till around year end.
Leasing an end of year 2005 is not that great of an idea.
The residual values are less because the car is basically 1 year old already. And even if you get it for well below invoice, compare that to invoice of a 2006. Doing the math it...
20K Bad Now. :( :( Filled out online RMA form with advanced replacement requested. A diagnostic code was not required. Good thing too as their diagnostic program failed to even see my drive. Even after I installed the Adaptec ASPI drivers like it asked me too.
Backing up data as we speak.
My new SCSI drive has 16K of bad sectors :(

The benefit (or disadvantage) of XHTML is it is based on XML so well formed structure is a requirment. Rather than having to correct HTML that is not well formed, browsers are free to just throw up their hands and say this isn't valid XHTML. For a developer this means you find those bugs...
All three were 1 layer and small enough to fit on a dvd-r disk.
After burning they play fine and dvd decryptor reports all regions.
I tried them in the dvd player here and they work fine.
Hopefully when I send them over there they will still work fine.
Thanks
My system is complete (for now). And not to sound like an AOLer but OMG this thing is sweet.
I bumped the resolution to 1600x1200 over the dvi connection. Not a dead or stuck pixel noticed so far. And bright! Either my old CRT had dimmed or I had the brightness turned down. Tried cleartype...
I think it is interesting.
But just a band-aid of sorts.
You still need the gasoline.
It probably can't produce enough hydrogen fast enough to fully power the car.
Even if you made it as big as the engine.
Hey jtr, do you have links to those BEV manufacturers?
Dirty William Flint
You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!
I'm a newbie when it comes to DVD burning.
We only have region 1 encoded ones here.
But I just got a new dvd burner.
So I thought maybe I can just copy it onto a DVD-R and make it regionless or something. So I impulse bought a three pack of DVD-R blanks to try this out. I'm making backup...
As a developer I stayed away from it for a while but now I've been developing with it and it is pretty good. I think with 2.0 they are fixing many of the problems from a developer's perspective. So I'm for installing it.
Anybody have any particular recommendations in the 20-in-1 type 3.5" drives? I got rid of my floppy drive and there is this hole there or was until I put my old zip drive in it so I could read all the info off my old disks and transfer it to my backup drive. Now it just sits there to block...
Well finally bought the 2001FP for about $530.
It was 749 - 25% - $60 with almost free shipping leading to 500 before tax and 530 after tax. I did so because of news that the dell coupons will be pulled tomorrow and not renewed. Receiving conflicting reports whether this is just for systems or...
So our 1999 Saturn SL2 is just too small and low to the ground anymore.
With two kids in carseats the passenger side seat has to go far up so if we all have to go somewhere I have to sit in the passenger side as my wife doesn't fit there.
So we want to get another vehicle - used.
We want bigger...
Ask and microsoft delivers, at least for me anyway.
My add remove programs has a show updates checkbox at the top. With it unchecked I don't see the windows updates. My OS is XP Home SP2.
