There must be a significant synergy with the Armed CPU, because some of the image processing results are very impressive in the mid-priced systems (~$5K). I'm sure the gamers don't care for it. I will await the 50 series with some hopes in x86-64 systems. Can't nVidia make a $1200 card that...

The single-threaded Arrowlake performance looks really good (though n=1), the first CPU to make sense after the 14th gen debacle and the very weak Zen 5 gains. However, I suspect there will not be motherbords that I will find useful.

The 40 series works very well, better than anything not a MAC and in the highest grade even better. So why would the 50 series not be even better than the 40 series?

Holy crap, anything will blow away that CPU. It was a dog on the low thread counts. Surely there will be some room for overcorking if it is not using so much power at the base condition.

I expected that cudas each would be more productive and also faster. Isn't Ai supposedly a huge push for applications even on the client computers, so nVidia would more computing oomph into them?

But the 2022 technology fastest cards need liquid cooling to fit in 3 slots. The 4070Ti was the largest I could fit in early 23. Maybe there is a Super in 24 but that's not much of an upgrade. I'm hoping for a 5070Ti the same size as the 4070Ti but substantially improved Compute performance.

Will I get 1|3 faster speeds for the same size|power for example? I only care about size and power. If 5000 series 3.0 slots and 329W is not a third faster it's probably not worth while. Cost is of limited relevance, but a $600 card is probably too weak to waste time on.

That would be tough since the newer chipsats don't have many SATA ports. Many boards only offer 4 naturally and then maybe a few more through the ASmedia chips.

I just meant that what is effectively an 8th gen part (Like Coffee lake) at 25W must be a lot weaker than a modern 25W CPU or even a 15W CPU. I have no idea what is actually available though. Possibly they were selling parts from the scrapped cars like a private junkyard. If you had a functional, but old Chevette it would be a one-stop shop for used parts at an affordable price. Or maybe they had a mental health issue and enjoyed accumulating crappy cars. :)

The '66 Toronado would be my pick of that bunch. The design was so cool at the time and reminiscent of the Avanti, but in a larger more luxurious car. I imagine that it would be difficult to restore nowadays with that funky FWD design.

Old cars are cool, especially if you don't have to rely on them. I grew up in the era where 1960-1970s cars were just old cars and I gravitated to other hobbies. It's easy to spend 100s of thousands on old cars restomods.
