    Ting?

I am expecting a bill between 14-30 dollars for my GFS phone. The Galaxy SIII is a very cool phone, and I spent all day rooting it to maximize battery, and features for my gf. We'll see if I'm right. Most of this stuff is 10 bucks in taxes.

Rom Toolbox Pro has a freeze setting. Wonder if this stops the apps from trying to start again? I'll check into air blocker. Also need to get to know Toolbox pro a bit better, along with Titanium Backup which also has a Freeze feature.

    Goodbye Firefox

Got it. Still, it's quick, I hate Chrome, and it seems a bit faster then FF.Getting to like the start page, vs. using bookmarks. We'll see. I've only got 8 gigs of ram, but, even with that little bit, FF seems to run fine.

    Reasons to Root your phone?

Du Battery Saver has a monitor that lets you know what percentage of the processor each program is using. You can then go in and turn them off.

    Reasons to Root your phone?

That's the problem. Without rooting, a lot of pre-installed software starts on startup, and can't be removed, or turned off. Rooting gives you the ability to remove a lot of stuff you couldn't, and or use a program to shut it off, or freeze it, and keep it from starting.

    Reasons to Root your phone?

Actually not without root access. With Sprint, Verizon, T Mobile they load a lot of crap you can't turn off without rooting. Plus, programs that can control this stuff, can't do it, without root access. Odin works just fine. Have to research your phone. If you want to use Verizon or sprint...

    Reasons to Root your phone?

    Ting?

With their plan, and a monthly payment plan, I can come in under my Sprint cost right now, save some money, and have their setup. My only concern is too many google techs start out, then get dropped... Frankly, thought, this is so good, I don't see that happening.

    Reasons to Root your phone?

It's 2:44 PM. 5 3/4 hours on 25% of the battery. That works out to 22 hours of battery, thanks to rooting, and software. No worries about going the day, or needing a charger all the time...

550 For a Nexus 6 with enough storage for my music. Appears Ting goes for a lower price point, 9 dollars for my gf's useage. Looks like Data is about twice the cost of Google Fi with Ting.

    Reasons to Root your phone?

Bottom line is with all the junk Samsung and Sprint put on my phone, I have to car charge it daily. Rooting it, and freezing, or deleting their added, junk, cpu and battery eating software, the phone will last for days with the 3200 battery. Without that, I would be looking at a Mugen, huge...

    Ting?

Sprint has worked fine for me in the Bay Area. Since GF doesn't travel much, should be ok. I'm thinking my GF's bill, with her usage should be between 0 and 15 dollars a month. I'll test the phone, make sure it works, since it's a limited warranty phone. Since the S3 was a flagship at the...

    Ting?

Hi I'm going to give Ting a try. I'm paying 60 dollars a month for Sprint. With my use patterns, Ting says my bill should be around 23.00 a month. I just ordered a Samsung Galaxy S3 for 130 dollars from them. This is for my girlfriend that hardly ever uses her phone, and needs to upgrade from...

    Reasons to Root your phone?

I've rooted my Samsung Mega 6.3. It's been a great move for the following reasons: Software that can have root access can either remove, or freeze applications I don't use, that are draining resources. Most of my data downloads are programs updating themselves, programs I would remove if I had...

Yes, the cage was run into the front of the car, and used to mount the suspension and shocks, to, ala Nascar coil over shocks. Same with the rear end. The guy building the cage was really good. You had to really look to notice it, and it was NOT in the way.

Merc: I had similar search issues, where programs that were easy to find in 7 or 8 were very difficult to get to in 10. Changing the desktop background was a real pain as well. Hence, 10 no longer.

I have to use Puffin, and go to KRON's bay area traffic over view before starting off. Even today, 580 going to Tracy is a solid redline, and 101 south from Mendicino is also red. Often times the bridges are likewise 0-10 miles an hour. Waze doesn't really give you a bay area overview, or, I...

SSDs - State of the Product?

Not to mention that mechanical drives are going to have to become MUCH more reliable to justify the possibility of lost data. Once SSD's are viable for large volume storage, it would be idiotic not to use them for backups.
