I'll follow your advice. Are you building in 2019?
I'm still using a Nocturnal dual-fan cooler for 5 years and it has been nice and quiet. I like that it blows right towards the case exhaust fan.
Unfortunately I cannot use the latest Sony software since it won't start up after installation. I'm expecting it will work with W10.
I like to use the OEM software first then PS and I'm too old to use the damned LR single-user database system.
It seems the idle power is a bit high, but the max power would only be during a working session.
Why does AMD require liquid cooling instead of a normal HSF or are they just being conservative? I don't want to buy one of those liquid coolers that might leak and cause a disaster. :(
Reading all the TireRack reviews practically made me crazy a few years ago, and that was for normal car tires. Everybody complains about everything and states that the tires are bad.
Even with the best tires some idiot will drive maniacally on the slippery roads, hit you at an angle, crush the...
Well of course some variables need to be held constant, but it's not acceptable for products costing hundreds of millions or billions of dollars.
Somebody knows.
I plan to do some heavy Sony testing right before Xmas and then I'll decide what to do on December 30. Most likely I would be building a system in January. At this point I'm not at all sure what it will be.
But we don't know the frequency that the CPU will run other than one core reaches 4.7GHz and 16 cores operate at 3.5GHz.
I'd like to see what 6 cores or 8 cores will do. Does anyone test for this?
According to all the peoples on the interwebs AMD is great and Intel isn't. However, I'm not convinced that AMD is much faster per core. We'll see soon enough.
Cost is not much consideration since I keep computers for many years. I just want more PCIe lanes without all those slow cores.
The Ryzen 9 3950X will be compatible in the majority of AM4 motherboards, although in order to take advantage of the 24 PCIe 4.0 lanes on the CPU, an X570...
We use Skype and it often sucks. WebEx is much better, but I understand it costs more per seat for an organization.
I have noticed some smaller companies using the Zoom. It seems OK from the outsider perspective.
The tower is normally only a half meter away from me, so heat is an issue especially in the summer. :(
The electric company congratulated me for using significantly more power last year than similar homes. ;)
I never had those type of phones. Work provided the BlackBerry devices, starting with one that had a crude, gray LCD and then progressing to later models until the iPhone destroyed the BlackBerry.
It reminds me of a defective CPU in the 1990s that had some calculation errors.
How do normal Windows users (not Linulux or game players) know if it works of not?
My NPS-10s units worked fine. ~43,000 images and a few videos. Four copies were made on the two devices and less than the 2TB of each SSD was used. I charged the devices every 2-3 days just to be safe (some places were 100% solar powered with lead batteries and inverters for the 220-240V)...
Most people have a 24-70 and 70-200 of some sort even if they have primes.
The problem with the ultra-wides is the perspective deteriorates rapidly when not level.
I prefer the TS/E, Nikkor PC, etc. lenses even if they are not as wide. Shift-stitching is also possible for static subjects to...
Why, do you want one? 12 mm is not so crazy wide compared to other lenses already and one would expect a shorter Z mount lens to be better with the shorter backfocus.
I think it depends more on the specific worker and percentage of time saved with a better CPU.
You must take into account the level or workers using them, e.g., GS6, GS9, GS12, higher? What are the fully burdened costs?
