    Mirrorless Cameras (MILC) and Lenses

S*ny is doubling down on disappointment. The a9 II is massively underwhelming. It basically contains the same sensor as the a9 with some minor updates. Nikon would add an S to the name suffix or Canon an N. S*ny has the nerve to use II. Now there is still that giant gap between 24 and 61...

    Ryzen

I would hope that some users want PCIe lanes and don't need 24 cores, but if there is a cheaply made CPU, then all bots are off.

Are people hacking into the RAM now? :(
  5. LunarMist

    Ryzen

Both the AMD and Intel mainstream CPUs are crippled in the number of PCIe lanes. The new Intel Cascade Latex looks like a half-assed upgrade from the 9900x series.

Other than that I won't be able to retrieve any new emails on the ATT SBClobal account after they implement the OAuth?

My time is running out. I cannot get the Sony software to run (though it supposedly does work in Win 7) and I'm sure that Nikon and Canon updates will no longer support 7 RSN.

    OAuth

No, it's not that. I normally use the POP 3 to download and delete, except on all the cellphones. For many years I used Verizon and some ATT email addresses for various websites.

    Ryzen

Is there any expectation that the cores of the future HEDT CPUs are individually better than the 3900x cores?
  10. LunarMist

    OAuth

Maybe ATT is off the Oath now? All these big telco shenanigans are why I mostly use the 3rd party emails. It's just that there are too many old ATT and Verixons emails to find them all.
  11. LunarMist

    Ryzen

Not really. I suppose now it would be best to wait and see how many GHz can be produced with their HEDT CPUs that have a good number of PICe lanes. I keep thinking about that Windows 10 and will need it sooner rather than later.

I'm not convinced that correcting ±0.25 cylinder makes much difference most of the time. It's often a case of how you pick "which one is better" and that can even vary day to day. What is your add if I may ask?

Do you know when the next Intel and AMD HEDT CPUs will be out, but probably not until well into 2020? Of course I'd like a non-crippled chipset with a number of PCIe lanes.

  35. LunarMist

    Ryzen

I see no reason to choose the 3600 over the 3900X. The clock speeds of the 3600 are slower. The question is between the 3900X and 3950X since the former has a better base frequency.
  36. LunarMist

    Ryzen

I'm writing about the 3950X vs. the 3900X. I still use the 5930K from almost 5 years ago. At the very least I need a faster CPU to compensate for the Windows 10 Meltdown and Spectres.

I need to be able to download/access new emails from multiple ISPs and accounts and keep all the old ones back to the 1990s including the attachments. I don't want to pay by the month. I usually use the POP3 and sometimes IMAPAP depending on the account.

The processor is the Marvell Armado 88F6810, whatever that means. Many of the internal parts were made in April or July, so at least it is very new. Battery replacement may be an issue, but probably not for three years or so. It makes sense to buy three of these devices at this point.
