You can see the CPU is only at 40% in the screen shot, yet the GPU performance is only about 1/4 what it should be. Others have used modest CPUs with great success so I guess it will remain a mystery to me.

Merc - I'm not planning on using the CPU to Fold, just the GPU. Main concern is that it is capable of doing enough to keep the GPU moving at its full potential, which, with some google searching, I think this one can likely do.

You should have no trouble finding a wheel repair shop that can fix it. I would have it fixed and sell the set after disclosing everything to the buyer. You will not get top price but something is better than nothing. Or just don't fix it and let the buyer handle it.

I've decided to hold on to this card for a bit until I get my Folding rig put together. Even though it will be a weak folder, I need a card to put into it until I get the card I really want.

I believe HID lamps perform better but are much more expensive. Performance of LED is about the same as Halogen I believe but there is more flexibility with the styling of the lights. I am no expert though.

Does running EAC for speed rather than quality result in any significant degradation to sound quality (that a 73 year old could hear)? My Dad gave me more CDs that I expected and my BR drive is slow at ripping on the quality setting (starts out at 1.2x and then peaks out at about 5x IIRC).
