In the help system in Office 2010 (should be similar on '07), on the Help Window, in the bottom right corner you should see: Connected to Office Online (or similar). Click on that, and a context menu should appear that lets you "Show content only from this Computer". That will put the help...

    Exchange Database Woes (Again)

I think it's related to Google being a US corporation, working on the basis of US laws. While using Google infrastructure in the US, as a US citizen/corporation, things are fairly easy in regards to both federal and state laws. But once you remove one of the entities from being on US soil...

I've seen a few of those screen shots, and some of them are very suspect. (Do the math: 10GbE, minus ethernet frame overhead, TCP/IP overheads, SMB/CIFS packet overhead...) However, since neither Samba or the CIFS/SMB driver in illumos have SMB3 support, I would only expect you would only get...

    10 gig Ethernet

We noticed the same thing at work with Windows 7 to Windows 2012/Samba4/OpenIndiana, we would only get 150-200MB/s over SMB for a single transfer, despite all our tests showing 9.5Gbps+ available with iperf. But what we noticed that for multiple transfers over SMB would could get near 8Gbps...

Thanks for the clarification, certainly has potential to improve efficiencies in the right environment. question Which Tablets

Better spec tablets I've noticed this as well... I suspect it's a number of factors: Entry level $99 devices are sold a lot more than high-end devices. BOM cost when you get above a certain point doesn't make sense. OEMs would have sell a certain number of tablets to be viable and justify the...

    HOT

We're in the process of upgrading our LAN at work to 10GbE. We're using Intel adapters, and have been doing a lot of tuning with Jumbo Frames, etc to maximise performance... (Main 10GbE LAN is between the ESXi servers, with rest of the LAN serviced by 1Gb copper). But at the basic level, yes...

Something else to try - simply rename the .ost to .pst, and try to import the file. (PST and OST internally both use the same data structures to store mail, so it might work. Similar in a way to WMV and WMA, as they both use the same file format).

Previous generation kit. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, just obsoleted by a newer revision... So distributors generally clear the old stuff out at or just below cost to get rid of it. Many years ago, I picked up a HP wx4600 workstation (Q9400, 4GB RAM, 146GB 15K SCSI drive, nVidia Quadro)...

That's the exact same board I have in my main home system. Excellent board. The only downside I've noticed with ASRock boards in general, is that the DIMM slots are very tight which has lead to DIMMs not being seated correctly, and POST error reporting is very lackluster, but otherwise very...
