I think this is a feature of the CO core: when using two sticks of RAM, the memory controller automatically drops to 166 MHz to maintain 1T command rate. Manually setting the speed to 200 MHz forces 2T command rate. Cheers, Jan

Um... What CPU? Mobile? What heat sink/fan/voltage? A64s have working HALT/SLEEP modes, so they don't use (=waste) that much power when idling when compared to AXP - Intel's products have mastered the power states better in the past. IIRC I had similar experiences with the "no fan at idle"...

Most likely You are hitting the max. PCI transfer rate of your motherboard. If You run WinBench99's DTR test (HDTach has been unreliable with RAID arrays in the past, dunno about the current situation), with RAID You should see the transfer rate go virtually unchanged (~80 MB/s) to the end of...

In my work computer I had both 0.9.1 and 0.9.2 installed according to Add/Remove Programs. I uninstalled 0.9.1, reinstalled 0.9.2 in order to remove it properly, and then installed 0.9.3. Seems that everything went smoothly, even all extensions seem to work... I made a backup of the user profile...

The wattages on power supplies are max. rated wattages. The actual usage for a regular computer is around 100-150 Watts. There are devices like Kill-a-Watt which can measure the power used by the computer. Here's an article (in German) with some measurements. The numbers speak for themselves...

Here's simply the best review (and the only one I've read :)) about Aria. Check on page five for the fitting. Perhaps this one is more illustrative. Especially as it is in German. :D Bottom line: You'd need to undervolt a Barton (or use a mobile version) to get to the low power level of 2800+...

Is this the one with a Zalman HP-80? The area between an AGP slot and the ARIA PSU is quite minute. I don't think that any extrusion from the GFX card is allowed (towards PSU, that is). Also, I don't think that it's not so beneficial to buy a mobile version of A64. Don't be fooled by the 89W...
