You could take some small guage non-insulated wire and a wire-wrap tool (used in electronics) to do this.. the wire-wrap tool is the "correct" tool for this kind of job, so it should work without too much hassle, although it may take a few tries to get proficient at using the tool... And it's...

Holy crap does Half Life 2 took good

one of the things I find interesting is no one mentioned the sound on the original halflife. It was the first 3D game that I played where I was not only impressed by the graphics, but also by the sound. It features great stereo seperation(if maybe a little too great), distance based sound loss...

website popup menus (making them cross-browser compatible)

Hey, I just found out that my popup menus aren't displaying correctly in some browsers (Opera, macintosh IE 5, Konqueror). When I designed the site I did so for IE and Mozilla (win/linux). The problem with the popups is that they are displaying behind the content of the page. The content is in...

    Getting In Shape

I feel really out of shape from what I used to be. I used to have a 42" chest and 28" waist.. could run for hours without getting winded... could bench and leg press twice my weight on a machine... And I was endurance trained and not strength trained... So much for that... 3 years of sitting...

I can see one benefit of a single PCI express slot right now... Most server boards right now come without an AGP slot.. and all the "home" and even workstation class boards basically require an AGP slot. If you replaced the AGP with a single PCI Express slot you'd have a lot more flexibility...

yeah, it's a decent sound card... but so is a Live, audigy, hercules sound theatre, TBSC, etc. The problem with the extigy is that it's a USB 1.1 completely external sound card and the extra CPU reliance of USB may lead to crackling.. for games, I'd recomend a PCI sound card...
