Terminator 2 in Hi Def, upgrade your CPU

The video was taken with film... the fact that the codec was able to capture the detail of the film grain without distorting it (or having to add back in like later DIVX) shows that it is working extremely well. I'd like to see this codec at sub 1000Kbit/s rates..

    Anybody ever been broken into?

I had about $1000 stuff taken from my car the night before a huge test in highschool. They took my stereo, CDs.. school books.. graphing calculator etc... insurance would only cover the things permanently attached to my car (the stereo)... so it was worthless.

aren't the radeon7000 cards (and original radeons) comparable with the geforce256... and basically just directX7 parts.... since the game requires DX 8.0 it'd be smart to get a DX8 card... say the ATi 9100 or geforce2MX/4MX.

Has anybody considered a partially sub terranian house? It makes sense to me to have say half of your house underground, or even most of it. The earth is at a constant 53F? It just seems so much more economical to have the Earth help insulate your home and keep its temperature regulated. I...

    Netgear Ethernet starter kit $19.99:Overstock.com

yeah the equipment isn't anything new (the 310's been around for atleast 3 years I believe) But for somebody wanting to network a few computers easily it would be nice. At minimum they could keep the NICs and sell the Hub and put the money towards a new 100Mbit switch.

Terminator 2 in Hi Def, upgrade your CPU

Designing a codec is a trade off.. you can design codecs that have a very good filesize to image quality ratio, however this is at the cost of higher CPU usage from the more complex algorithms used to compress the video. The trick is to develop the most efficient codec so that the videos using...

[NEWS] - P2P softwares judged legal.

I think what they were more trying to do was set precidents so that they wouldn't have to keep filing painfull lawsuit after lawsuit. Once the precidents are set it's easy to stop the piracy p2p programs from popping up. I personally don't find anything wrong with software that uses the p2p...

As far as I know the warranty on the RMA'd device is only good until the warranty from the original runs out... e.g. you buy a drive that had a 3 year warranty... 2 years in you RMA it.. the RMA drive basically continues the warranty for 1 more year.
