    Laptop Recommendations?

The i7 is the fastest, but the mobile versions are the slowest of the i7s. If you are going to be doing that kind of hardcore computing, you might consider bringing along a small form factor desktop of some kind.

    Laptop Recommendations?

The more powerful processor will certainly be busy for less time, and will therefore produce less heat. If you are going to be logging hours doing 36.3MP RAW conversions, getting the fastest processor and hard drive seem like no-brainers. In fact, you would likely be much better off having...

    SoHo Gigabit Router?

I have more OCZ SSDs than the rest of you combined. I've had one failure and, knowing how bad their RMA process is, I just threw it away. In my experience their failure rate is fairly low and their prices are awesome. You do need to be OK with simply taking it as a loss at some point if the...

I've noticed that Coug's character seems to be trying harder than anything to prove that he isn't gay. Not that I think he is gay, but anytime there is a question involved, his answer is also the most "manly" answer conceivable.

    UPS Help

The APC SmartUPS SMX 1000 with two 2U battery add-on modules will give all my gear (~3A) 200+ minutes of runtime according to the interface. If there is an outage that lasts longer than that, I have more to worry about than not being able to surf the web or listen to music.

Just bought some music on Amazon MP3 (<200 songs). They appear in the cloud player correctly, and that part plays fine. But the downloader seems to be choking. You could still use windows, it just won't matter what you use. And x86 won't matter if the OS runs on RISC or whatever else. When it doesn't matter, MS and Apple will have a hard time justifying their prices to many people.

I didn't have it weighed, but I will when the new tire arrives. The screw went all the way through the tire and exiting just outside the bead and chipped the wheel. If you look at the first and third picture you can see the exit wound in the tire aligning with the nick in the wheel.
