    Details on quad-core AMDs

Looks like they have made quite a few changes, in many areas. I might skip the dual core gen and go straight to the quads in 2007. http://theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=35011 Barcelona is the first native quad-core AMD CPU, commonly but wrongly referred to as K8L. It is the first real...

    Best 20" LCD display

The 24" Dell 2407WFP has an HDCP enabled DVI input, so using a cheap HDMI->DVI cable will work just fine. And you still have the component input as well. How about 32" for $1199? 1366*768 so not too high a rez for your eyes. HDMI, two component, VGA, even a built in ATSC OTA tuner...

New SanDisk Extreme III 12 GB and 16 GB Compact Flash

Yeah, looks like Canon and Nikon aren't really engaging in any quality wars at the top end. Need to go to the 35MPixel scanning backs for a significant step up. I liked the look of the 6*17 160 Mpixel (scanning back) camera...

I noticed that the most recent SATA spec includes daisychaining e.SATA external boxes. This then appeared as a seamless increase in capacity to the O.S. Perfect for daisychaining external SATA hard drives off the HD DVR.

    PCIe HDMI Video Capture

Yeah, but with FW you are left with HDV compressed video, the HDMI option allows you to capture uncompressed. The Sony HDR-HC3 has HDMI output.

    PCIe HDMI Video Capture

Specialised for those with certain HDV camcorders. It doesn't capture protected content (i.e. that from DVD/HD-DVD players). But certainly, an interesting way to get fantastic video quality captures from consumer level gear.

GM: Best Warranty Coverage Out There

What's wierd with Chrysler is that just last year they were offering 7yr/70,000 mile powertrain warranties. When they change warranty durations every year, that's got to confuse consumers. Have you had a bad experience with Hyundai Mark? I can assure you quality is vastly improved over the...

GM: Best Warranty Coverage Out There

That's great news. Nice to see them one-upping Mistubishi, Kias and Hyundai by having the warranty stay with the car/truck, instead of the owner. Though it would be nice to see them make it 10 years for the powertrain, for those that drive less than 20K per year. Local Ford dealership (local...

Dell and Genesis are backers of the DisplayPort consurtium I believe. Totally incompatible with HDMI or HDCP, uses a Philips designed protection scheme. All for the sake of saving the 4c charge for an HDMI port.

NEWZ: New Graphics Card Connector Std.

HDMI (especially ver 1.3) has higher max datarates and additional features that would make it preferable to DVI.
