Did go to see Dr. Strange with the kid. Eclectic mix of the modern and the esoteric. Somehow, it seemed like Deja Vu to me. Maybe I saw it previously in an alternate universe.
That'll be a huge problem for me here. Can't risk getting a crappy one.
Thanks!
Sounds like way too much to learn and spend. At my age, my patience and fuse are short, and I can't spend endlessly on better and better stuff. Guess I'll just use what I have already. Thanks.
How Elizabeth Holmes & Theranos burned so many
Never understood how a 19 year old (dropout, too!) could be given so much attention, respect and funding. And it all came crashing down, and affected so many in the process.
Why not?
I have the 24-70 2.8, and can't imagine needing a 14-24. Enlighten me!
So you like it? I wish to get one someday.
So what do you recommend then, Lunar?
Thanks Lunar. I think I'll go with the Breakthrough X2. On their own website they only show the X4, but it's $140! Way too much for me, and for my needs, I don't think I'll notice the difference in IQ - I'm not a pixel-peeper. I'll buy from them directly because they have an unconditional money...
Thanks Lunar. Between the two, I guess you prefer the Marumi? That's too expensive for me (I'm not a Pro!), but the Breakthrough seems reasonable - just a it over the B+W.
Final thoughts?
Is there a cheaper alternative to:
B+W 77mm F-Pro Kaesemann High Transmission Circular Polarizer MRC Filter
for use with
1) AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED and
2) AF-S VR-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G SWM VR ED IF
on my D700? Obviously don't want to use a crappy filter on these kinds of lenses...
I haven't bought a single inkjet in my personal computing life because of these fears. All the mono lasers I've bought have served me well. My personal printing is quite sporadic, sometimes no pages printed for a few months at a time, sometimes 5-6 pages in a month. The toner has never clogged...
When one syncs to Google (Gmail), what all is saved there to download to the phone after reset / to a new phone? Never done that, but will probably need to in the near future.

I have P7 Cinturatos on my car as well. Decent tyres.
BTW, I read somewhere (AS Technica?) a day or two ago that Audi is in the shithouse for having defeat devices on petrol models as well. Didn't read the whole article.
Tannin, my copy of Foxit Editor (not reader) is several years old. Since I had paid for it, and it is a perpetual licence, I continue to use it for my minimal editing needs.
Coug, where are you seeing this info? I can't seem to find the webs site for PDF Xchange; it's mostly pox sites like...
I've been using Foxit for the last several years (I bought their basic editor). It's better than Acrobat. But for maximum compatibility, for fillable forms issued by government and financial institutions, I have to fall back on Acrobat. I have both installed, with Foxit the default.
I think Handy has an LG phone, not Samsung.
The Play store has 3rd party apps that will back up core Android-related data on non-rooted phones. For data stored in apps downloaded by you, unless the app itself offers a backup, there's probably not a lot you can do.
The White House has locks that are supposedly unpickable. They were, in half an hour, in a demo. The company that makes those locks tried to suppress that info. Can't remember names now.
I absolutely wouldn't trust those locks that can be opened with your phone etc.

Canadian immigration website crashes on Trump win.
Repubs also won the Senate and the House.
Clean sweep. Though to what extent they'll support Trump is unknown.
I'm on W10, Chrome Version 54.0.2840.71 m (64-bit), and it's ignoring space bar for me since yesterday if I reply with quote. Extensions are Adblock Plus, Flashcontrol, Ghostery and Allow Copy. Definitely annoying!
When I had bought my D700, I had also bought a Sandisk Firewire Compact Flash reader which I used a few times. Firewire created problems on my PC, so I pulled the add-on card out. Had to fall back on my 2006 era card reader. 286 Files, 2.87 GB

Thanks Newtun. I did see these, but didn't post because apparently the Windows flaws don;t affect Win 10, and most everybody is now on it, including laggards like me.
There is also a Flash vulnerability, but hey, what's new about that??!!

It was on the front page of the newspapers here a few days ago, but I didn't have time then to find an online version to link to. Hope this helps you!
