Jalepeno pepper. But it wasn't a choice, so I picked green pepper. I know the title says single-topping, but my favorite type of pizza is the veggie-lover's kind, with every veggie topping available. Liberally sprinkle crushed red pepper on top of all that. You taste buds go crazy.
My closest Taeget was out. Had to go to the next closest one. One thing I find a little puzzling though is that if I stick my ear close to the sub I don't hear much, but sitting in my chair, there's good, solid base. Some of the reviews on the Newegg site that merc linked to alluded to this as...
Thank you kind people, thanks--good advice! And misery loves company, does it not?
LiamC, I must chide you for tempting and distracting me :mrgrn:
blakerwry, I have an Inwin somewhere in storage that has the brackets for the add-on card screws integrated with the removable mammaboard tray. So...
Well, you didn't, did you?
If it was my box, I'd gladly borrow that mean looking thing in the photo. But then, I'd never have one of those VBs in the first place.....
Someone I know has an HP Pavilion 6912 and wants to upgrade the RAM in it. Yours sincerely was nominated, of course, to do the job. I'd like to get it done by the end of the month.
It's a very small chassis, completely cramped inside. And of course, the two DIMM slots are behind the...
Thanks Cliptin--you clarified my point the way I would have.
Gwammar Povice: There ain't no such thing as "intimate odour".
(I'm asking for it, no? Talking to the Gwammar Povice in this fashion!)
That explains this post!
jtr1962, you can have really bad power inside cities too--especially if you're in an older industrial area with huge machines that cause severe flutucations in the power in surrounding areas with variation in their load. One place I worked at years ago had a newer PC...
Naw. But if you go to StorageReview, in the Bar&Grille forum, Davin's thread ("impressionable you idiot" or something like that in the title) has some links that are fascinating--optical illusions. Check them out!
Jake: no pics. I'm behind the contraption with a lens most of the time. I don't own a digital camera or scanner, and don't have access to one. I look like, well, an older guy with a big nose. They say ears and the nose are the only parts of the body that never stop growing. As you get older, the...
I have, for a long time, also bought Panasonics.
Then, years ago, they came out with CD-Changers for PCs, and I bought one. This was in the days of Win 3.1. Of course it never worked right. The thing would constantly shuffle discs, eject and close the tray, etc. After 6 months of harassing...
Damn, I hit submit before I was done! Anyway, to continue, in the grid, the numbers 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81 have the same symbol. No matter which two dogot number you pick and to the arithmetic on, you WILL end up with that same symol.
That ain't no magic, it's an old trick. The result is always a number that, when the individual digits are added together, will result in a 9. If you check the grid on that web page, you'll notice that all such numbers have the same symbol:
e_dawg,
I'm not familiar with the w2k ATA mode reporting bug?? I see whatever's approriate for my devices.
I coudn't afford Xeons--no way. I built my system about 2 years ago with a Tyan Tiger 100 (S1832DL) BX Chipset + 2 P3-850 CPUs, 1GB PC-100. The MB was $160 and each proc was about $200...
Not many, most of the pics have disappeared . I especially badly want to see Tony. Tony! Tony! Tony!
Mark, I need your address. When I'm depressed I'm going to come see you, the wise, gentle, soft, patient person (that's what you look like!). A very cerebral sort, I presume?
e_dawg,
At the considerable risk of stating the obvious, if you're using IDE disks, I hope they're not running in PIO mode?
I went from a single proc to a duallie and my multi-tasking is way smoother now. I don't run any SMP-aware programs, but the reasoning I used was the one already...
Isn't that the truth, Tea!
Mercutio, Buck, I have nothing against watches. I have one I wear everytime I step out - a Casio Data Bank. Meets all my needs (dual time, 5 alarms, stopwatch, timer). My significant other hates it and bought two that I seldom wear. My brother is a watch...
Hey Grammar Police, I envy you.
For me, it's hard to believe that in 2002, living in a Metro area, people still have the luxury of not needing to look at a watch!
As I get older, I'm beginning to realize more and more the value of quality of life! Enjoy it!
The two for the price of one deal was not intended; poor programming on Dell's site allowed sharp people to make that happen. I don't think Dell intended for that deal to happen.
I've built systems for myself and other people. My brother, who runs a small business, need to buy 6 new PCs and a...
Sorry, I'm considering buying Ghost 2003 (via Systemworks Pro 2003), does it ask for the product key everytime you restore?? That's a no-no! The the non-enterprise versions ask, the enterprise version doesn't? Gee, I'm sure the enterprise version costs a bundle. Maybe I should go with DriveImage...
honold, that specific example of two systems for that price was an error on their website, I believe.
That said, you're right, the average do-it-yourselfer will find it difficult to beat a mass-manufacturers pricing; those guys get volume discounts the single guy doesn't. When I build my...
Thanks for the welcome, folks. Sorry I disappeared for a while. Much as I'd like to hang out with fine folks like yourselves, free time is a constraint.
Bartender, a round for eveybody on me, please, thank you!
Mercutio,
I read a news item about 3 years ago about SouthWest Airlines. They had to do a desktop refresh, and instead of buying vomit boxes (primary motive was to save money / get more bang for the buck), they built their own in assembly line fashion using as many employees were needed...
Howdy everybody, this is mubs. I'm here courtesy Tannin (discovered SF through him). I used to lurk the forums over at SR (still do) and was away between 09/2001 and 08/2002, with little chance of getting on the Net to do anything meaningful, so I missed a lot.
Anyway it's good to be back!
