If a meeting doesn't involve a physical object of some kind, I generally decline going. If there is an object (building inspection, product review, sample analysis) then I go; typically 2-3 a week.
The blocks are card specific; they'll only work with 980s and that generation of Titan X.
I don't have a gaming system on order that would fit this product. I suppose I could build out a full rig an put that up for sale, but that is more cost, as well.
I'd completely agree with that. I wouldn't be surprised if the current value is less than one of the cards originally. Depreciation on products with this fast a lifecycle is pretty brutal.
2x EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN X 12GB SC (12G-P4-2992-KR)
2x Koolance Water Blocks
2x Koolance Water Block Backplate (additional aluminum heatsink epoxied to back plate)
1x Koolance Video Bridge Connector
2x Stock heatsinks with mounting hardware
*Hardware is used and does not come with anything not...
The advantage of oversized cases is that you can position fans inside the chassis right next to the components that you care about. I hope to be revising my personal rig today (if the kid lets me). I'll post some pics when I can.
It does, but I just put a car on it. ;) It would fit both, but then I wouldn't be able to pay it off this month.
Even 20W continuous output would get darn hot without significant active airflow. Particularly if you have many of them in a chassis.
To me that indicates that the fan is mainly preventing air from flowing the opposite direction. Try just blocking off that part of the case and see what happens.
This year I didn't get around to filing taxes until the last minute (waiting on docs from a refi). Afterwards I received a letter in the mail from the IRS asking me to call them while having the last two years returns and backup handy. After asking me many questions to confirm my identity, they...
The closest issues I've seen is the video window alone crashing or freezing, but only on the new Windows Server pre-releases.
What happens when you disable hardware acceleration altogether?
To get what (I think) you are after will require two things.
1. The monitor to support a "1:1" mode, where it doesn't try to stretch or scale the image to fill the screen.
2. A video card capable of displaying the resolution you want. Most will do this, but finding where in their driver to add...
I'm a firm believer that the absolute top-end of audio gear is snake oil, but after using the line out from the Blue Yeti Mic for a while I put in a Schiit MODI 2 DAC and holy crap that is better.
All the manufacturers seem to still think that SSDs are a premium item and price accordingly. You'd probably be better off buying one without, a separate SSD, and a drive cloning tool. But that is effort and complicates warranty work.
Other than that it weighs several tons ;)
I've actually already reached out to the folks at EV West about the idea; basically gutting it and putting in ~1000hp.
The advantages of Waze tie directly to the density of active users in your area. Around here it is pretty awesome; nearly every accident, traffic jam, road closure, and police trap is updated rapidly.
Yup. Just a temp car until the Model 3 shows up. At that point either the wife will take it or I'll sell it on.
I should sell my 2011 A3, but I'm tempted to make it a project car for a high performance EV conversion.
Now that I also posses a B8.5 A4-based vehicle, I figure a related question can go in here?
I'm designing a custom phone mount with integrated wireless charging, which I'll have 3D printed out of matte black steel by shapeways.
I want to mount the phone between the MMI screen and the main...
Yup. You would probably want to be running an nVidia Quadro card, but the last one of those to be fanless was (IIRC) the NVS 295. That thing is old.
I bet a lower-end latest-generation card could be modified to fanless-ness pretty easily (K1200 is only 45W), but that might be outside your...
Long drive up and back, but the new car is sitting in my driveway now. Couldn't get the price below $30k, but did get a full Audi warranty to 140k miles for the same price.
First impressions:
1. I can't believe that even in a 2013 car the Bluetooth doesn't include multimedia support. Already...
Some critical security updates will still auto-install, regardless of what settings you use. The best practice is to not keep deferring updates; the computer will not auto-update/restart without you declining at least once.
If resolving the check engine light required anything less than a full engine tear-down I'd have done it and not be buying a car at all. It will be due for its first California Smog Inspection within the month and a CEL is an instant fail.
Cleaning the car is easy enough; I have all the stuff...
The time has come for me to start considering a new car. Used Model S prices aren't low enough, and the Model 3 isn't due out for a while. As a temporary vehicle, I'll be negotiating for this one tomorrow and the next day.
We'll see if they'll take my beater as a trade-in. If anyone wants to...
Around here, unless you specify otherwise and pay a premium, the WAN port on your router gets assigned an address from a pool managed by your ISP via DHCP. Exactly the same as a DHCP pool on your local network. If this is the case for both of your internet connections than simply swapping the...
One of the things I noticed with my 1080 (and Titan X for that matter) is that the back plate gets hot regardless of fan speed or even water cooling. I was able to get my temps significantly lower by mounting a large heatsink to the back of them and directing case airflow across. You may get...
Do either of your internet connections have a static IP? If they are both DHCP, I'd just have both WAN cables labeled and sitting next to "Buffalo Master". Plug the appropriate one in and leave the rest alone.
BofA lets me set up auto pay with limits, I have mine set to not pay and alert me if:
1. More than one is attempted per month
2. The bill is more than 20% over the average for that bill.
3. The bill is over a hard limit I've set.
Never had the issues ya'll talk about.
Bank of America allows everything to be electronic, and their mobile app is decent. I'm not 100% happy, but it seems to be a better alternative.
Fidelity, not so much. But I am happy with the trading fees.
Someone else changing the address is the first step in many hack/fraud schemes. Even if you feel fraud is unlikely, I imagine their fraud department is more responsive.
