Indeed. vBulletin is probably one of the best forum management packages out there, but there is a fair bit of bloat in what it generates. I'm interested in seeing what the "App" version can do in terms of mobile performance. Of course, now he's put himself under a bit more pressure to get it...

That was my thought as well. This one almost lasted the full two years before failure. If I am just a little bit luckier with the next one I'd be fine.

    Dying S3

I keep my phone in my front pants pocket. This isn't an issue with the S3 at all, and I suspect the Note 3 will also work there if you keep it naked. ProClip (my car mount of choice) makes one for the Note 3 (naked) or one specifically for the Note 3 in a Defender-series Otterbox case. This...

The webpage is fine if you have any two of the following: a computer, a fast internet connection, plenty of time. The App is just an optimized view of the forums for slower devices with slower internet connections and smaller screens.

Some issues: 1. APR 3" Downpipe, when mounted to factory exhaust using factory mounts (per instructions) scraped the drive shaft just enough under strong deceleration to cause the loudest howl of all time. Slight modifications to the mount resolved this issue. 2. Carbino intake doesn't seem to...

    Dying S3

I try not to use it as a phone, either. But having a tiny internet-connected computer with me all the time is really nice. In order of usage for me: 1. Audio (Audible/Pandora/AmazonMP3) 2. E-Mail (all Google-hosted accounts) 3. Remote management tools (GoToMyPC) 4. Misc Internet (mostly here)...

    Dying S3

My S3 did not survive the night. My 10-month old managed to knock it from the bedside table to the floor, and bits of the screen are starting to fall out. That such a small thing managed to break the phone would normally upset me, but this thing has taken enough hits up to now that I can't be...

I do. I'm just putting together the numbers at the moment. Replacing all the splitters in the house would cost <$1k. Replacing every piece of equipment besides the wires (from dish to faulty receiver) would be <$2500. Pulling a crew from another job for a couple days to tone everything out and...

I hate troubleshooting DirecTV splitters. Particularly in systems with 20+ receivers. Edit: The grey cable near the top is a 150A power line. The black 2" pipe near the bottom is a gas line. The array of splitters is one of three banks in the house (20,000+ sq.ft.)

Thanks! I haven't been to my office in nearly two weeks. Most of my time has been at a facility 20 miles the other direction from my house. I do run into the building that contains my office to put out fires, but never long enough to sit down at my computer. I'll get it going again now.

Interesting. I know I had to deal with some code stuff and install additional vents when I closed some off during the remodel. It's domino time, the rest of the free service-based systems should disappear soon. This makes sense considering services cost money. I also believe that none of the non-service-based systems are easy/reliable enough to deploy. They are too sensitive to changing IPs/Firewall settings/etc.
