Thanks, I have Partition Magic 8. Only problem is I need a very large partition, aroung 250GB or more. The PC I'm building will have two, 250GB hard drives for data storage plus a 40GB drive for the OS. Bozo :mrgrn:

My main system is still running a AOpen AX6BC Pro that I bought in 1998(?). I've pretty much abused it trying different hardware, software, BIOS settings and operating systems. It's never given me any problems. Bozo :mrgrn:

Antec would probably replace that fried PS if you send it back. Most reputable companys like to have busted parts returned so they can analyze what went wrong and make corrections. Bozo :mrgrn:

Thanks again for all the help. I found the solution. In the program that I'm using (Drive Image) I have to manually put the servers IP address in the LMHost file along with the servers name. Works like a champ. Now I can make and restore images over the network. Bozo :D

Thanks for the suggestions :) But, I still can't connect to the server using a DOS boot disc with network drivers installed. Anyother ideas? Seems like Server is blocking access. Bozo :D

I'm trying to connect to a Win2K server from a DOS boot disk with DOS TCP/IP network drivers. I can't. I also cannot access the server from any DOS based operating system like Win98se or Millinium. What do I have set up wrong in Win2K server? Bozo :D

What I have found on the second install of the service pack, is that it installs more files. I can only presume that these files are needed for the software that was installed. Bozo :D

In W2k you can install 2 NICs and the disable one in software. If one fails, you're just a couple of clicks away from restoring. 3Com does make NICs that have redundancy built in but they are pricey. Bozo :D

One other note: Nero and EZ Cd Creator work fine on all the boxes that have a burner in them. Nero being my preference. All boxes that have a burner are Plextors. Also, when the box is completely set up, SP3 is run again. Bozo :D

I've been installing it in everyPC/Server I 've put together in the last year. (~24) This was installed on Win2000. I install W2K, SP3, Intel Software Update, 800 series INF update, and then the APP Accel. Usually after the INF update, W2K reports it has found new hardware and ask for another...

You have to make your decision based on your place of work. In our plant, an office printer can go unused for days, even with 15 people with access to it on the network. But the printers on the plant floor are used almost continuosly. Politics often plays a part in the purchase. Office types...
