Gary suggested that video cards may become a thing of the past. Get around this power, and bandwidth problem by using 64 bit data paths, straight to and from the cpu. Or, better yet, integrate the GPU with the cpu. Hook your gpu to your processor like ram is currently linked using the G5...

The only reason I can type this is another computer on the network is not requiring reinstalling XP to get rid of a f....g adware bug. The funny part is both Spybot and adware see this one, delete it,and it still steals my default homepage... s

NOT FUNNY :excl: The only solution I've found is reinstalling XP, and, I'm currently comparing the merits of a 450 Nitro Express, No 2 2150 with 480 grains, and 375 H&H, while contemplating reinstalling windows. I'll let you connect the dots... s

Well, I got the 4th Cheetah back from Seagate, and it's a Rev 3, same as the others. Time to Raid 0 all four, but, I think I'll wait until Monday, and throw the IDE/sca into the box, at the same time. I've been crippled with only a 90 mb/sec raid. Hope to get back to the 110 or better range. s

Pradeep: I was using the 1200 dpi to test the rig. I like the idea of the auto feeder. Any suggestions, that don't cost a fortune? I use 150-300 dpi, and I'm scanning in my kids work, to keep digital record of my progress with them. GS
