No, 2TB is not the maximum size for an NTFS volume under XP. It is the maximum size of a FAT32 drive, and many hardware RAID controllers don't support arrays larger than 2TB, but Windows itself can handle NTFS volumes much larger than that.

You probably just need a newer install CD. SP2+ has drivers for most SATA drives on standard southbridge SATA controllers, unless the drive is in AHCI or RAID mode, in which case you'll have to slipstream an install disc to include the drivers or else load a textmode driver off a floppy.

I use Recode, Vision, the Sound Editor and both the full and express versions of Nero. The media player that ships with Nero 7 will play HDDVDs and BDs if you have a drive that supports those formats. However, I always do a custom install and don't add any of the other stuff.
